We are looking for a Client Support Technician to join our growing team and report to the Client Support Manager. Are you our next team member?

Job Purpose

To provide financial administrative support to Independent Financial Advisers and the Client Support Manager in delivering whole of market financial planning advice and implementation.  Products we supply include mortgages, investments, pensions, Auto Enrolment, Wills and trusts

Duties and Responsibilities of the team are below, and the essential duties for our next recruit are shown in bold

  • Handle enquiries and pass those to IFA/schedule client appointments
  • Confirm appointments
  • Prepare the meeting room as needed
  • Dealing with routine correspondence including contact with clients, their advisers and product providers both by postal correspondence, fax, e-mail and telephone
  • Requesting/generating illustrations
  • Assist the CSM in preparing research for recommendations
  • Assist the CSM in preparing cases for pre-sale network approval
  • Submit new business for processing, including the preparation of suitability letters/reports for approval by the IFA and completion of standard IO tasks
  • Diarise and chase up new business and fees/commissions through the pipeline and matching un-allocated fees/commissions
  • Check and Issue policy documentation including downloading online documentation
  • Assist the CSM and the IFA in attending to remedial tasks after case review
  • Maintain the review diary for retained clients
  • Liaise with IFA and client to schedule reviews as they fall due and prepare the review pack for approval by the IFA
  • Assist the CSM in compiling Management Information
  • Complete activities diarized in IO and ensure tasks remain up to date
  • Build trusting working relationships with IFA colleagues to assist them in improving standards
  • Updating and maintaining customer databases
  • Provide general office support as and when required to ensure the smooth running of the company
  • Be active in maintaining office supplies, including document library, stationery and facilities management
  • Assist the MD in submitting receipts (etc) for the production of Management Accounts
  • Adherence to all Company policies and procedures
  • Any other relevant duties as required

Person Specification


  • Some Financial Services sector experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Willing to study and complete the Award in Financial Administration within 24 months of commencement
  • High level of Computer literacy specifically Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office
  • Previous administrative experience
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Attention to detail

  • Knowledge of Intelligent Office
  • F1 qualification and ability to progress towards RO1/FA1 or FA2
  • RO1/FA1 or FA2 qualified

  • Experience and working knowledge of Intelligent Office
